I, Stephen H. Sutherland, "The Gas Man" grew up in the fuel industry, riding on delivery trucks since about 5 years old. I owned and managed Sutherland Oil Inc. and Bio Tech Inc. (an Environmental firm) for approximately 25 years. My son, Dan, and I, now own and manage Sutherland’s Web Services, which develops, maintains and regionally optimizes websites, in the greater Grand Traverse area. Our firm has recently launched a nationwide food prep program which is currently being adapted for restaurants and grocery stores.

Sutherland Oil Inc. supplied heating oil throughout the Grand Traverse Region. We owned and operated 3 local retail gasoline stations and built the first 3 stand alone computerized fueling depots in the State of Michigan.

The fuel industry has always been a large part of my life, and I am very excited about having the opportunity to share my knowledge, experience and research with the citizens of the greater Grand Traverse area.
